Continental Colorcraft was honored with a Reed Award for its
outstanding work in the 2008 presidential campaign.
The prestigious award was
presented at the annual Reed Awards Banquet. Continental
Colorcraft took first place in the Signage and Logo Material category
for its printing of President Barack Obama's campaign poster "CHANGE"
by artist Shepard Fairey, viewed as one of world's most influential
contemporary artists. On display in the Smithsonian Institution's
National Portrait Gallery, this iconic portrait has become one of the
most widely recognized symbols of the historic Obama campaign.
Upon receiving the award,
Continental Colorcraft President Andy Scheidegger said, "What a
privilege to work on a political message that has brought so much
excitement to the American people. It is an honor to be recognized as the nations premiere political printer."
